Hello, as promised here is Graici's photo. Our little sweetheart was 1 on saturday, she had a lovely day, she was a little bewildered at first unwrapping her gifts but soon realised it was fun. We took her to York for the day, she loves it out shopping she always makes a lot of new friends, shes such a happy little girl and a pleasure to be around, shes like a little ray of sunshine. As you can probably tell we are all very proud of her and are delighted that she is here.

Cuddly Buddly Digi Challenge #19 - A Recipe

The Cuddly Buddly challenge this week was to use 3 flowers, 2 buttons and a ribbon. I chose a Cuddly Buddly flower circle for my image and I made the 2 peach coloured flowers and used a prima for the third. The satin ribbon and gold buttons both came from my mums sewing box. So in a way its a joint effort even though my mum is no longer with us, but im sure she would approve.

LOTV challenge 119 - Bright and sparkly

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well, this is my entry for this weeks challenge, I think this stamp is adorable, I got her for xmas last year from my eldest daughter I think she will become an all time classic.
I am just having some quiet time which is rare as our little angel has gone into town shopping with her mum and one of her aunties, I cant believe that Graici will be one in just over a week, time just flies, I will post a picture of her on her first birthday for you all to see.

Just Magnolia Merry Christmas Challenge

Tilda unwrapping presents is one of my all time favourite images, shes so cute.
Christmas this year for us will be bitter sweet, its the first one without my mum but its also Graici's first christmas where she will be able to open her own gifts, its a very strange feeling. Anyway dont want to bore you with all my woes this blog is all about the good things in life and focusing on the positive so good luck everyone and I hope all your christmases are exactly what your hoping for.

Just like to thank my beautiful talented daughter for designing the backing paper for me to use on this challenge, without her I would be totally lost. Well done Karly xxx

Just Magnolia distressed challenge

Hi everyone, here is my entry for the Just Magnolia distressed challenge. I chose this little fella (anchored Edwin) because I thought he fit this challenge perfectly, he must be feeling a little distressed himself. I used a Nellie Snellen die, distress inks, brads, string, lace and gems to embellish.

It's been quite a busy week this week, as usual Graici has kept us on our toes. Now she is crawling we dont seem to have a second, shes loving her new found freedom and im growing older by the day, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Cots

I thought I might show you these cots that I designed and made using my Robo. I made them awhile ago before Graici was born, thats why theres one for a boy and one for a girl, I wanted to give my daughter a unique gift for the birth of our first grandchild. I am considering making a few more if anyone is interested just let me know.

This is going to be a very short post as Graici is trying to help me type, she is only 10 months old and the apple of my eye, she is very inquisitive and not much gets done when shes around except for her new stage of hugs and kisses. How adorable.

I have coloured her with copics and embossed the edges of the card , finishing off with the little shell buttons , hope you like it.

James bear sledging along

Hi everyone hope you've had a great weekend, ours was quite hectic our youngest turned sixteen so we had a house full of teenagers, everyone behaved and we had a brilliant time. I managed to fit in making this little card using James bear.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my previous post it's very much appreciated, it was great to get some feedback especially as i'm not very confident and a lot of my efforts go unshown, it has given me a boost to maybe put some more out there.

My first ever entry

This is my entry for the LOTV challenge, Ive never entered anything before must be getting brave in my old age.
I used a Spellbinder die for the card base, distress ink and mica powder. I glittered this gorgeous little image and coloured her with copics. I love Lili of the valley images I heard someone say they were based in Pudsey which is a lovely little town that also happens to be my birth place.
